Who I am

This website is run by McIlroy Software Solutions Ltd, registered in Northern Ireland with company number NI724910. Registered office: 29 Fourtowns Manor, Ahoghill, Ballymena, BT42 1RS. For anything about your data, email kane@mcilroysoftwaresolutions.co.uk.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry, I get what you type into the form:

  • your name and email address
  • your current website, if you add one
  • the project type, main goal and budget range you pick
  • your message

The site also runs a security check to stop spam, and the hosting keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser) to keep the site secure. Visit counts are anonymous and use no cookies.

Why I use it

Only to reply to your enquiry and, if you want to go ahead, to quote for and plan the work. You agree to this by ticking the box on the form, and it's also needed to take the steps you've asked for before any contract. I don't add you to a mailing list, and I never sell or share your details for marketing.

Who else handles it

  • Brevo, which delivers the enquiry email to me and the confirmation email to you.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs the spam check on the form.
  • Vercel, which hosts the website and its anonymous visit counts.

Each only processes data to provide its service. Where data leaves the UK, it's protected by the UK's approved safeguards, such as the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

Enquiries are deleted after 6 months. If your enquiry turns into a project, I keep what's needed for the work and for the business records the law requires.

Cookies

This site doesn't set cookies for tracking or advertising. The spam check may use what's strictly necessary to work.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how it's used, by emailing kane@mcilroysoftwaresolutions.co.uk. I'll reply within a month.

You also have the right to contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
